Finally, The Supreme Court extended the deadline for linking Aadhaar Card, a huge relief for those who haven’t linked their card or those who still don’t have an Aadhaar card. Earlier it was March 31, 2018, which was the last date for linking of Aadhaar but not anymore.
Now the 31st March deadline is extended indefinitely until Supreme court pronounces its final verdict on the Aadhaar scheme.
So guys now you can relax a bit and ignore those annoying SMS from banks and mobile operators for linking your Aadhaar with your bank account and with your mobile number.
But there is also a bad news; The deadline of 31st March will be still applicable for Subsidies, benefits and services prescribed under section 7 of Aadhaar Act of 2016. Here you can find the Section 7 of Aadhaar Act of 2016.
Chief Justice Of India Dipak Misra Said,
It had enough of such “piecemeal” notifications and legislations issued by the government to link one service or the other.
Earlier on December 15, 2017, the Aadhaar linking deadline was extended from December 31, 2017, to March 31, 2018. And now it is extended to an indefinite period of time until the supreme court pronounces the final verdict on Aadhaar.
Guys, please share this article as much as possible so that everyone knows now Aadhaar linking is not mandatory for everyone.
