BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) has announced a new method to reverify their mobile connection for NRIs and senior citizens. This new method of the government-owned telecom operator allows physically challenged persons, senior citizens as well as Non-residential Indians to reverify their BSNL connection by visiting the company’s website.
According to a report from PTI, the company said,“Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced simplified verification process for NRI, senior citizens and physically challenged persons. This web-based application can be used from the comfort of home”
As it is from the above statement, BSNL customers who are eligible can directly go to BSNL’s official website to complete the re-verification process from home. Additionally, for the criteria of senior citizens, the person needs to be above 70 years on 1st January 2018.
The PTI report further stated,”The service can be used by senior citizens above 70 years as on January 1, 2018, physically challenged people and non- resident Indians (NRI) who do not have Aadhar number or have the biometric ID but their mobile number is not registered with the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).”

How to Link Aadhar with BSNL Number through BSNL Website?
Thus Eligible customers belonging to the above mentioned three criteria can go to http://bsnl.co.in/ portal and click on the picture mentioning about this method. Then they need to enter the BSNL number they are planning to reverify. The link for this entire process is distinctly given on the website. A customer will receive a One Time Password (OTP) after entering the number they want to reverify. They will receive the OTP on the entered number.
After this, the website will ask you to register a new BSNL account or log into your account, if you already have an account. Even if you don’t have an account, you can easily login to your Facebook or Google account. After the logging in process is done, a Mobile Verification pop up will appear on your computer screen. Click on the pop-up link, and it will ask you the BSNL number you wish to reverify. It will also ask for an alternate number of yours which is mandatory.
After that, you will receive another OTP on the entered mobile number. After you enter the correct OTP on the website, you will be taken to the document verification process. Here you need to enter all your VISA details, physically challenged certificates and other various personal details.
Once you complete the online procedure, all the entered will be sent to the local BSNL circle for verification. If the circle’s administration approves the details, your number will be verified. After that, you will receive SMS informing you that your re-verification is completed. You can also check the status of your number by heading over to BSNL’s official website.
